Join us for the Seventh Annual Deech Open at Gateway National Golf Links on Saturday, October 14th!

In Loving Memory of Ryan Candice

Project Wake Up & the Candice family will be hosting the seventh annual Ryan J. Candice Memorial Tournament Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Gateway National Golf Links. Our hope is that you will join us on the course to remember Ryan and to help us in our efforts raise suicide awareness and eradicate the stigma surrounding mental illness.

General information:

  • Regular pricing: $500 per foursome (NOTE: EARLYBIRD IS NOW SOLD OUT)

  • One of first ten sign-ups will be randomly selected to have their fees comped!

  • Lunch (Chick-Fil-A) and dinner (Candicci's) included

  • Beer/Soft Drinks included

  • 4-Man Scramble

Itinerary:

  • Check-in starts at 11:30am

  • Lunch will be served at 12:00pm

  • 1:00pm Shotgun Start

  • Dinner will be served at 6:30pm

FAQ

  • The event takes place at Gateway National Golf Links, 18 Golf Dr #1677, Madison, IL 62060, on Saturday, October 14th.

  • Parking is provided at the course. We encourage the usage of rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft for golfers.

  • You must be a part of a foursome to play. If you have any questions, contact a team member via an email to wakeupdocumentary@gmail.com.

  • Yes! On top of closest to the pin and longest drive, we offer our helicopter ball drop game to golfers and supporters alike. Entries are $20 apiece, and prior to the start of golf, all entered golf balls will be dropped from a helicopter onto the putting green, with the three closest to the pin (or in the hole) will win prizes.

  • YES! Several sponsorship options are available:

    Varying levels of event sponsorship are available (Please contact us for more details!)

    Individual Hole Sponsorship: $150 (Includes family/corporate sign at hole) which are 100% tax deductible.

Project Wake Up’s inaugural comedy night will take place on Saturday, November 24th at Chaminade College Preparatory. Headlined by St. Louis’ own Sklar Brothers, known for their ESPN cult classic series Cheap Seats and their subsequent podcast View from the Cheap Seats, the event will take place at the Skip Viragh Center for the Arts in the Siefert Auditorium.

Doors open at 6pm and the event will include food trucks and a full bar with purchase of a special cup. The event will be hosted by Chris Denman and Travis Terrell of We Are Live! Radio and St. Louis Live! Other performers include:
